What is your experience regarding suggestions on alternative routes if traffic jams occur.
Doesn't the seat Navi do the job as good as android auto's Google map?

No in car system is superior to google maps or preferably Waze. They just don't update fast enough and push you into heavy traffic as a result.

Waze via android auto is the way to go. I used the seat Nav once and never again.

yes well. I had to order navi to get ACC here in Denmark... So may as well get the best out of it.
The cool thing with the seat navi is that it can be viewed in the digital cockpit. That is a very nice feature.
BUT of course if the navi wont get me out of traffic jams etc. it wil not be much of use.

I had this issue only yesterday in the UK. Decided to rely on seat nav only for it to take me off the motorway and through a busy town (it obviously had no idea about congestion in town) and to make matters worse it then tried to take me back onto the motorway via a slip road which is shut for 12 months. I pulled out google maps and it had visibility of congestion in town and knew that the slip road was closed.

I won't bother using the seat nav unless for some reason I don't have my phone.

Seat standard Have system has No Live Traffic Guidance. It relies on T M C which is so slow it is absolutely useless.
You can have "Live Traffic" if you order this when you order your vehicle. There is no way to have this retro fitted by Seat at all. It is only a factory fitted option. I have had this in writing from Seat UK Head Office this week.
I am not that good with mobile phone technology.
So if anyone out there knows an easy way to get "Live Traffic"
Please Please let me know
My Tomtom live traffic has just expired and they don't support this anymore

Hmmm why is these car navigation so waste off everything...
If we can't rely on them then I won't use it.
It is exactly in the traffic jam etc. Situations you want them

Useless predictive text. I typed Nav it wrote Have!
My xcellence has Nav on the standard dash if you want it there and you can use the infotainment screen for something else.
The Nav on mine doesn't work properly at the moment and it with Seat to try and find the problem, this is the 2nd visit and they have had it all week this time

I think I might be driving with both at the same time to see have it works.
I will use seat navi as a route navi to get me from A to B under normal circumstances so I can have the map and route directions in my virtual cockpit.
I will then have Waze running in the background and only set it to popup with alerts like road accidents etc. so if a large traffic jam is up front I hopefully will get notified by waze and able to switch to Waze for rerouting.

Am very disappointed as well ! From the graphics, to the traffic jams and no-rerouting!! I had a Saab 9-3 combi 2008 model before, and its navigation, as navigation, was a lot better!! Apart the outdated graphics, it always alerted me way before of the upcoming traffic jam, had a visual icon when there was traffic jam on the selected route (green car no traffic, red car traffic on the route ahead) and suggested alternative routes, with distance and time differences!!! Not only in CH but also abroad!! The Seat navi (not plus) is just a disaster!!! You cannot avoid by any means traffic jams, sees them sometimes when you are stuck in them, never ever does it suggest alternative routes, the graphics are very outdated compared to the competition and the display is useless, since it does not show time, outside temperature, etc!! You cannot configure it to show this crucial info in a small line! So useless!!! And for traffic, you have to quit Navi and go to Traffic on the main menu to see if there is anything ahead or if the route is clear, and then go back to Navi!!! I need navi when driving abroad (DE, IT, etc), and I cannot use 4G all the time due to the high roaming costs in Europe as CH citizen ( we have no overall EU same roaming charges)...
Even in CH, it does not work properly, with 4G and all the systems. I do not know if I should do something in Settings, did not find anything though!
Cannot wait to the ios12 update so as to use Google maps, since Apple maps are worse than the Seat navi!

Seat Navi is very slow when searching for an address, many times I am not able to find what I am looking for or it takes ages.

Waze is great, Google maps has satellite view now so that is pretty cool.

Used the Seat nav this week and found it just doesn't provide any traffic info until you hit the jam - I don't want to have to go manually into the 'traffic' screen to find out about a jam I'm already in! The expected time or arrival on the journey doesn't seem to change either despite any impending jam on your route so you have no idea that it may be coming up....I had to swap to Apple Maps on CarPlay which tells me live traffic and a correct expected time of arrival.
