Re: Cybex baby seat base

Bit odd - doesn't list mk2 tiguan either, but does list Skoda Karoq and Kodiaq.

We had the lack-of-listing issue buying swivelling seats for mk1 Tiguan and Honda Jazz - it just seems to be a matter of trying it and making sure you're happy with the fit.

Re: Park brake recall

Doesn't include ours - looks like it's cars built as model year 2017 and 18. Our Sept 18 car is MY19 from the VIN. Must say when daughter set off from here the other evening the car seemed to require quite a positive effort the get going - I know some people think these autohold and electric handbra...

Re: Battery faulty after 18 months dealer saying not covered

I do exactly that, drop it off, get a call back the following day saying yes battery at fault however diagnostics say it's not a factory fault so likely external influence so not covered they want £410 for a replacement! I know how batteries work and also that they are sealed units so when I challe...

Re: Car has arrived with the wrong engine and no rear camera - wasn't expecting that!

My question to you is with Park Assist, if I choose to reverse into a space manually do the Park Assist rear sensors provide any visual warning on the dashboard display or audio warning of nearby objects? So, will it work like a rear parking sensor when PA is not in use? The answer to all those que...

....lots of traction when accelerating. And this is on summer tyres.
Good to know, but don't get lulled into a false sense of security - you might be able to get going easily but the braking capability will be just the same as on a 2WD vehicle!

Re: New owner - 1.5 TSI

The full link seems has been missed off by accident so I have to go back to the dealership next week for that to be installed, but otherwise very happy. I wonder if the car has been built for a while and perhaps waiting for emissions approval, because SEAT have known about missing full link since S...

Re: Brake Discs

I agree......warranty claim I had a big falling out with Honda and one of its dealers earlier this year over corroded rear brake discs and a stuck rear pad. Got absolutely nowhere, so if even Honda won't do under warranty / goodwill I wouldn't hold out any hope at all of a VAG company doing it. Cha...

Re: How to Replace Wing Mirror

The glass change instructions are in the document linked earlier in the thread. I did it on a Golf when the casing got cracked - basically you tilt glass down, get your fingers behind it and yank it off. I followed a guide on YouTube. I'm assuming Ateca is the same - it looks like it from the instru...

Re: Turning the air blue

I suppose I'm thinking mainly of shop / shopping centre car parks, where people will always be coming back to the car to put stuff in the boot.

Re: Turning the air blue

Sorry to hear this. Must admit it baffles me why people reverse into parking spaces and I avoid parking behind people who have reversed in. Trained my wife the same.
