Re: Isofix problems

Certainly in our Tiguan our grandson, who is 2 now, is more upright than seems ideal when rear facing in his Recaro Zero 1, even with the seat on maximum (of a very limited range) recline. I can't recall issues when he was smaller. I guess you'd want the seat reasonably upright so that in the event ...

Re: Oil service and inspection service ?

My service plan is £544. That's three services over the four year PCP term and presumes I hand the car back before the fourth service is due. I do roughly 12,000 miles a year..... Is that a VWFS service plan? I've seen some suggestions that if the PCP is for more than 10K per year, VWFS quote the p...

Re: Oil service and inspection service ?

Probably the best reason for taking it annually (but not necessarily changing the oil) is for all the software upgrades that seem to be regularly needed, not least of which is the Nav maps etc. I don't know what happens in Spain, but in the UK dealers do not update software unless there's a specifi...

Re: Lead time

Are you in the UK, and did you order a standard spec car?

Ours was ordered late August and delivered in mid-Sept, but it was one of the easymove (EZ) models and had no options.

Re: SEAT Ensurance users - where is the catch?

I think the ENsurance thing is basically just a claims management company/middle man, they liaise between your actual INsurance company and a dealer to get repairs done.. Its free from Seat cos basically I think its just a way for Seat to ensure it gets repaired by a dealership/franchise and not a ...

I have been told by Seat seller (dealer) that I can order some code to unblock it. It will cost me aproxx 130GBP (4000CZK). They can keep the code for this price...
Apologies - it's standard in the UK. It's a bit odd the way that specifications can vary across countries.

from what i was told that is standard on all the models.
It's standard now but it used to be optional on some models. Ours came without it - factory forgot to include it, and the dealer programmed it in a few weeks later.

Re: intermittent Judder

I had the same problem at 7000 miles 1.4 tsi manual and had a new clutch and flywheel fitted under warranty. Other VAG group cars have the same issue. It does not cost anything to take it in to the dealer and have them check it out, but they told me if they stripped the car down and it was not a wa...

Re: Interior misting up!!!!!

Walked back the following day and the key wouldn't work so had to walk back home and back to the car with the spare. What wouldn't the key do? You should be able to get in the car with the key blade and the immobiliser doesn't need any power - but I think you have to hold it near where the ignition...

Re: Variable Floor Boot

It's all about Seat UK making it easy for themselves, not you, the customers. I think the main reason is to make cars more easily available so you don't have to wait 6 months. Cars are sold like this in the US - dealers keep loads in stock, very few options (those that there are, are often in packs...
