Re: Seat comfort

I have the leather sports seats in my Xcellence Lux. I find they're very uncomfortable on long journeys. The lumbar support is hardly existent even when put to max. My Hyundai Ionic's lumbar adjusted so much it was like putting a rugby ball behind your back and was great for me. I find that because ...

Lane Assist

I've been using my lane assist and adaptive cruise most days since I got my car 3 weeks ago. I wondered if you can give me your experiences and thoughts on it? I find my system tends to drift between the lane lines, never crossing them but it's quite disconcerting at times. The funny thing is that w...

OBD updates

So today I met up with a guy in Birmingham who can activate and deactivate features via the OBD. We activated the reverse dipping mirror and the option now comes up on the cars settings. However, couldn't physically get it to work. The option is ticked on the infotainment and we tried every permutat...

Re: Unintentional oversteer

With ACC in sport and greasy, wet conditions the Ateca once had a moment of wheel spin. The tyres are as standard from factory, the car is only 2 weeks old. I haven't adjusted anything. I've been driving other cars on these same roads for the past 14 years, I know every crack, bump and camber. There...

Re: Unintentional oversteer

Even with the gearbox and engine in Economy and with the ACC pulling away, it can still wheel spin in greasy weather.
The grip really is that poor.

Re: Xcellence - No Visible Exhaust

I've only just had my 1.6TDi Xcellence Lux and it doesn't have visible exhausts.

is the automatic braking only applies for cars with parking assist(both rear and front sensors), or also to the cars with rear sensors only?
I'm not sure. All Ateca's come with Park Assit according to the brochure, so they have the full range of sensors front and back.

Re: Are You happy with your new Ateca?

I spent a month testing every possible SUV in the same class as the Ateca before buying. Nothing came close to the Ateca for looks, kit and the drive. I could have had the Karoq for the same price (Motability) but the Ateca had so much more kit on it. The dash is angled towards the driver so looks n...

Re: Unintentional oversteer

Maybe you should get it to the garage to check the geometry. Mine was very nervous in crosswinds, I had it checked and the geometry was all messed up. They adjusted everything, and now it's much better. I've heard that other Ateca owners have had the same problem. Many of these seem to come out of ...

Re: Automatic braking intervention by Park Assist

If you go above about 7MPH in either direction, the car doesn't have enough time to brake as it only uses the ultrasound and not radar.
