Re: Seat extended warranty

The Seat extended warranty the one offered here: https://www.insurewithseat.co.uk/extended-warranty is brilliant and have used it many times. Its as close the factory warranty as you will get. I dont know how they make a profit on it, as one claim has far exceeded the payment. some examples: My wife...

Re: Faulty Gearbox? Loss of Power?

Thats strange not normal for the DSG to do that. I would try and record it and book it in.

Re: Digital Cockpit failure

Book it in and definitely get it checked. If it happens again take a picture and call Seat assist.

I THINK dont quote me you can get the speed on the car menu with the three dials which can show oil temp etc.

Re: Bridgestone 235/40 lack of intial grip

I havent been impressed with traction off the line with the Bridgestones. They are good for general grip/wear/braking, but I find cold and damp mornings they really struggle. I have put this down to that I previously owned a Leon Cupra on ps4s and that was planted. Going to let them wear out and the...

Re: Driver Side front sensor not giving warning!

My rear LH Blind spot detection fails to detect lorries, coaches and large vans but does detect cars and large SUV's. SEAT have examined and agree there is a fault but they cannot cure it. I accept that lorries are pretty big objects and I should be able see them but it does demonstrate that the se...

Re: Remap 2.0Tsi

I'm not supprised given its the EA888 engine used in the Cupra and Golf R. Both capable of that remap on stage 1, I know as I had a Cupra kicking that out.

Re: 1.5 engine software updates

I get why some people bash this engine but since update 2 mine is a a joy. Update 1 resolved it so it stopped being dangerous but update 2 made it more refined. Vw should of never released it like it but hey every company does the same trick, latest smart phones requiring patches to work and even th...

Re: Phantom screen press

If the problem is with your specific head units ( and from what folk have described, it sounds like it only affects certain people ) then I'd be **** if I would accept the dealer telling me I have to put up with it. I assume the car is still under warranty? They did say if I got video proof they ca...

Re: Phantom screen press

Currently have the same issue with my head unit, damn annoying and the dealer have said I will have to pretty much live with it.

Had the same issue in my Leon, so really would of thought this would of been fixed by now.

Re: 1.5 engine software updates

Just had the 2nd update applied to mine and so far driving away from the dealers its improved even with a warm engine. This morning it was also felt less hesitant at about 2k-3k revs.

Early impressions feels like the issue has been solved completely.
