Re: Tomorrow, at last!!!!

Well, the Ateca has reached 10,000 miles this week. not many miles done due to the lockdown but all miles have been enjoyed and even madam has enjoyed driving it on occasions. She had thought about buying an Arona to replace her 14 year old failing Touran but was put off by the lack of options and h...

Re: One year in....happy bunny.

I'm a year and a half in and I'm very happy with the motor, almost 10.000 and no problems, yet. Great car, very comfortable for me and the wife. Economy is good, haven't done any long trips for a while due to Covid so the average from new is down to 46mpg though some shortish trips 30/40miles can pr...

Re: Item missing from boot?

I got a 'car torch' with my car, it has flashing amber lights and a hammer point for breaking windows so that fits the strap perfectly. Never had to use it though.

Re: Aftermarket towbars and dedicated wiring

Hate to say 'me too' but ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, me too...... Still to get the electric kit though, what one did you get. Fitted a towbar to my wife's Touran and that included the 'magic' control box, it all worked first time. The reversing senser sometimes picks up the towbar but it's usually beca...

Yes, my Jetta did this occasionally, annoying when you are watching the MPG over a thousand of yer miles.

Re: It’s very quiet - Coranavirus?

Hi Fred, we here in Scotland are advised to stay at home especially if you're at risk from the virus. One would have thought more people would be posting but then if you're not driving you've nothing to report, tomorrow is going to be a warm day for us so I might put some polish on the ATECA. Cheers...

Re: Self park

Tried a self park yesterday on a quiet road, didn't work first time although the symbol showed it wanted to parallel park so next time I went slightly further past the parked car and reversed nicely into the space, Way-Ha. need more practice me thinks. Still think I could do it quicker and just as g...

Re: Tomorrow, at last!!!!

Well we've had the Ateca for 12 months now and I love it even more. The first service was done a few days ago at Livingstones the local SEAT dealers in Uddingston near Glasgow. Took my own Castrol long life oil in so the service and check over cost only £134 saving £55 less £30 for the oil and a fre...

Re: What does “[EZ]” mean?

I've said this before, my wife was going to get an ARONA but did want certain extras but not the KESSY so is now going for a VW T-CROSS with the spec and extras she wants so a 'no sale' for SEAT, we told this to the SEAT salesman and he agreed and apologised..... She did say this morning when waitin...

Re: key fob battery error

Maybe the keys are different nowadays as my 2007 Jetta key never had a new battery in twelve years and my wifes 2006 Touran had one fitted after about ten years, none of the spare keys had new batteries either, very strange. I can understand a Kessy needing new batteries after a couple of years but ...
