Re: New Cupra Collected

Sorry, I meant to say no faults apart from the rubbish windscreen wipers. They were really awful, so I replaced them with Bosch ones which are so much better. The cost was less than driving to the nearest dealer to request a replacement. Poor wipers has been a common issue with the VW group generall...

Re: New Cupra Collected

Lovely looking car Ant. I have had my Cupra just over a year and it has just had its first service. I have also had the winter wheels and tyres removed for the summer(?) if we have any. I did find them useful, even though the winter was mild. They just felt more planted in the cold and wet than the ...

Re: Navi in Virtual Cockpit

It is quite easy, but only works when the main screen is switched on. It does not need to be set to navigation, just on. On the steering wheel, there is a button that moves across the screen so you can set things like the trip recorder. So just press the button until you get the map showing and then...

Re: New Cupra Ateca

My driving is quite mixed, but I guess that I will get about 375 miles from a full tank of petrol. My wife managed to get 42 mpg on a 20 mile run, but my best is 41. On local running, 30 mpg should be quite achievable and about 35 on a motorway cruise. Hope that helps.

Re: Wiper blades on new car

I have had my wipers replaced with ones from Bosch. What a difference! The factory fitted ones were hopeless and have been assigned to the bin. The new ones are working really well, both front and back and feel much sturdier than the original "cardboard" ones. Also, the new winter alloys and tyres a...

Re: Ateca Owners Don't Do The "Nod"

I would happily wave, salute or nod to a fellow Cupra Ateca driver, but I haven't seen another one on the road as yet, despite owning mine since March!

Where are they all hiding?

Re: Winter tyres

It was quite frosty on the Welsh border this morning and by coincidence I had my winter wheels and tyres fitted to my Cupra Ateca. The tyres are Pirelli Sottozero 3 245/40 R19. I also purchased some cheaper alloys from alloywheels.com in the same size as the original wheels. The new tyre wheel combi...

Re: New Cupra Ateca

Lovely car and identical in colour to mine. I have yet to see another Cupra Ateca on the road, despite having had mine since March. I am putting winter wheels and tyres on mine on Friday. We live up a hill in the muddy countryside and often get deep snow. I'm not sure the summer Pirelli P Zeros woul...

Re: All Season tyres for 19s

I have just taken delivery of my winter tyres. I have gone for Pirelli SottoZero 3 245 40 R19 which are the same size as fitted to my Cupra Ateca. Will be fitted on 29th November. I was thinking of winter wheels as well, but the package then gets too expensive. Will report on how they compare to the...

Re: Wiper blades on new car

Yes, my wiper blades are crap as well. In my case it would be cheaper to buy a new set than drive 50 miles there and back to the nearest dealer to have them changed! So I am thinking of getting a new set of Bosch wiper blades before winter. But I will give the windscreen a good clean first, just in ...
