Re: Anyone done any chip tuning?

Neil - out of curiosity, what did your insurance company say about the RaceChip upgrade? How did it impact your premiums? It would be interesting to see how they would view the sizeable ReMap Aberdeen upgrade. Maybe it doesn't make a big difference given that the BHP is still very manageable. Also, ...

Re: How far on a full tank! (Poll)

I've ticked 625 to 650 which is around 40mpg for my 1.4 2WD. That's average for my daily commute and weekend trips out. That's with about 30 miles left showing on the on-board computer so I could probably get a little more if I went down to fumes. I never normally push it that far unless I get caugh...

Re: Hello...

Jonja - welcome. Are you running the car in 'Normal' mode? If yes, then switching it into 'Sport' mode when you know you want to overtake is pretty effective. It won't match an M135 but I certainly notice the difference in mine.

Re: ADVICE NEEDED

Chris. I bought my car through Seat Colchester so fingers crossed when I take mine in for a few issues shortly. As for the radiator, you've probably guessed it's your word against theirs. It's a real bummer. Given that they were only fixing the headlight and battery, they shouldn't have had any obvi...

Re: Ateca ordered but current car need's tyres

Golf - I don't think anyone is suggesting part-worn tyres close to the legal limit. There are plenty of decent options out there. The link below is where e-tyres sent me when I ordered a new set through them on-line. http://www.safewaytyres.co.uk/new-quality-part-worn-tyres-ipswich/ I have my doubts...

Re: Ateca ordered but current car need's tyres

A courtesy car would be great, however, you have been told from the outset that delivery could be 4 - 5 months so it will be that long before it's even considered a delay. As GRS18 says, you certainly have nothing to lose raising it with the dealer. Part worn tyres are always going to be a gamble. H...

Re: Blooming thing won't go anywhere!

I realise that the kangarooing and reluctance of the 1.5 is cropping up on a few threads but thought I would attached the following to this one. It's What Car's latest long term test of a used 1.5 Audi A3 and popped up this morning. "The engine mapping has been altered, too, which has caused some co...

Re: How old is the Ateca driver ?

Hi there. Welcome to the forum. Your 215/50/18 tyres have a range of 32 to 36 psi. The 32 setting is supposed to be the “comfort” setting but not a big difference compared to 36. Handling feels taughter but firmer with 36. The dirt in the real door opening was a common complaint when the Ateca first...

Re: Hello and Opinions Please

There were so many complaints about DQ200. Not on this forum from people who actually drive them. Almost all complaints come from that idiot "Honest John" who has a column in the Telegraph. He has a bee in his bonnet about it but never substantiates his claims. He also has a thing about low profile...

Re: Soft Paint?

I was only thinking the other day how good I thought the paint is. My car is 20 months old with 17,500 miles on the clock and I don't have a single stone chip. My previous Mitsubishi ASX had really bad and thin paint and the front end looked like someone has taken a 12 bore to it (from a distance of...
