Re: Handover checklist

Hi all, Apologies if this has been asked before, but has anyone got a copy or can point me in the right direction to get a handover checklist? Thanks It's a little old now (picked up my Ateca 18 months ago), but I put one together for when I was picking up the car so this may be a good start: https...

Re: MY switchover?

Yep - the MY changes (at least in 2017) were announced in May, with production changing in June/July. So too early now for a 'scheduled' change.

Re: MY switchover?

There is a change in spec around June time - I had exactly the same thing. Ordered mine March 2017, with it built july 2017 using MY18 spec - they changed front fogs from halogen to LED and added progressive steering; both were not part of the spec when I ordered. A later revision toward the end of ...

Re: Tailgate/boot door not opening using hands-free

Yep, works every time for me too. As Fred99 says - there are two sensors which you have to activate. There is one sensor in the bumper just below the boot lip (about knee level), and the other underneath. And that does make a lot of sense - if there was only one underneath then every time something ...

Re: Potential new owner

Thanks for your answers, I'm glad about the spare wheel and the next thing to do is a test drive! Good luck with the drive - try and get a long-term/unaccompanied test, not just 30 mins on a pre-arranged route! 8-) As you say you're in Greater London, then depending where you are the new SEAT retai...

Re: Potential new owner

General consensus would be that the 1.0L engine is OK - it does well enough, but nothing spectacular. Given the Ateca is a big car then actually that's a pretty good accomplishment for such a small engine! If you're happy pootling along in slow moving traffic (i.e. London and surrounding clogged mot...

Re: Seat No 7

Welcome to the forums - and good luck with the wait!

I too upgraded from an Ibiza (1.2 TSi Sportrider) - transition was pretty seamless and the ride certainly more comfortable!

Re: Gremlins

There's been a few odd postings here and there - the sad thing is, in my line of work 'user error' is the usual. You could be on to something though; just now another random merging about steering wheel covers on a Kessy thread. Should this have been posted in "Members Area -> Website Issues" by any...

Re: Worried about car theft & Keyless entry system

Sounds like the lock/unlock is tied to the key, not the car, given that's where the motion sensors are. If that's the case then I wonder if a) It's been there for a while and they've only just updated the manuals (wouldn't be the first time) or b) If it's a new capability of the key fobs whether a n...

Re: Waiting for my new Ateca.

Oooooh, that is an evil clause. I'm not sure if that is what is termed a 'fair' clause (I doubt anyone would be willing to take it through the courts to test that assertion). My contract of sale had some evil generic terms in it too - but the dealership never applied them (thankfully... was preparin...
