Re: Front USB ports stopped working

I doubt there's fuse for USB ports on the head unit. I would try to reset the head unit first, to see if that fixes the problem with the ports. I mean total reboot, with power button pressed for >10 seconds.

Re: Front USB ports stopped working

I'm tempted to think, that the front USB ports get their power straight from the head unit. After all, they are not just for charging, but for Full Link as well. My car doesn't have rear USB ports, but if they are just charge ports, that would explain why they have dedicated fuse and the front ports...

Re: Worried about car theft & Keyless entry system

Todays mirror!! https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/keyless-car-stolen-30-seconds-13887930 One incorrect speculation in that article - the police stating that thieves could somehow "store" the signal and resend it when needed. That's impossible, the same message works only once. But the car can b...

The tyres are as standard from factory, the car is only 2 weeks old. I haven't adjusted anything.
Then you should check the pressures as soon as you can. Mine had way too much pressure in the tyres when I got it.

Re: Automatic braking intervention by Park Assist

There is a speed limit (I can't remember what it is exactly) under which the parking sensors are activated automatically. So I think it not so much that the car has time to react to sensors, but simply the sensors are turned on only in low speed. And if you activate them by reversing (or by pressing...

Re: Unintentional oversteer

Maybe you should get it to the garage to check the geometry. Mine was very nervous in crosswinds, I had it checked and the geometry was all messed up. They adjusted everything, and now it's much better. I've heard that other Ateca owners have had the same problem. Many of these seem to come out of t...

Re: Several faults :(

I have been fortunate enough not to have any of these issues. But if I may speculate a little, you might have faulty CAN gateway in your car. I think that's the only thing in common to all those equipment that have been misbehaving in your car. It connects all the different communication buses in th...

Re: Adaptive Cruise Control

I was certain you could adjust the acceleration of the ACC, 'Normal', 'Eco' and 'Sport' but I can't find the option anywhere... Now I think I may be be getting old and am confusing it with my old Touareg! You can adjust that on "Individual" driving mode. Select the individual mode with the knob, th...

Re: Drive Mode resets to Normal after a re-started engine

That's actually interesting what you say. I had 2014 Leon FR and it was exactly the same as Ateca - engine profile returned to normal after restart. Other things stayed at "sport". It's not a bug, it's a feature (as Steve Jobs used to say :) ). It's actually done for some eco reasons. Annoying, yes...

One thing to remember is that your spare key is “live” and transmitting its code all the time and so it’s battery will go flat too I'm not sure, but I think that's not the case. From the documents I've seen on the net, I've got the impression that the system works the other way around. When you tou...
