Ok this is for MPG in the 2.0 TDI DSG-auto 4Drive 190 PS 7-speed DSG-auto. What do you get? :)

It's less than a manual, due to the weight and a slight loss but not so much as a fluid gear box. The closest manual is the 150. The 190 engine whilst more powerful can return the same mpg as the 150 said a VW sales guy if you are refrained at not driving it hard.

For the Tiguan you can get 4wd in the 150 as well as 190 so it makes comparisons more easy between the manual, automatic and the two engines. The Tiguan shows a penalty of just less than 3mpg with the automatic on the 150. They don't sell manual on the 190. The combined urban cycle on the DSG in 150 and 190 guise is identical. That is why I say Mcderm will always be 3mpg ahead on any figures against us DSG owners. Anybody with a DSG pays this penalty but it's good on the arm, relaxation and speed.
