Hi all,

New to the forum, I'm looking to add a detachable tow bar for my 2018 Seat Ateca. I'm based on the South Yorkshire/North Lincolnshire border. Is this a straight forward job? I have seen some posts on here regarding factory recalls on Towbars due to electrical issues. Any advice welcome!

I believe the actual towbar fitting is straightforward, what isn't is the electric/electronic part which requires 'programming'. (We had ours done by a local specialist. Expensive at c £650 but had no issues)

Got mine fitted locally. Towsure bar with a removable locking hook. Not singing and dancing factory programmed electrics as that can be costly but they wired everything in and it all works. Plus, with the hook removed and stored you can't even tell that the car has tow capability as it all tucks away under the back bumper. Well pleased and under £500 with a guarantee.

I think I only paid around £600 and that’s integrated to the cars canbus. RoadRadio based in Crawley, they came up to Aylesbury to fit.
