Anyone else had issues with an "All In" inspection?
My Ateca has had no faults, but last Monday I was told the only fault holding it back from being accepted in the "All In" scheme, was a limiter fault.
I have never used this or seen an error for it. Were they trying it on? This was Seat Derby service. I have sent a complaint to Seat today about it. I was told minimum £79 to "investigate" the issue.
This puts me off using their service department again. Interested if anyone else had similar experience? Thanks.

Old thread - but related.

Took our Ateca for its All In inspection yesterday - note I was only doing this as, due to a very pedantically noted suspension bush issue that they put down as an MOT advisory, we found the dealer had forgotten to put the SEAT 5yr warranty on the car when it was new.

I never expected any issues - as far as I knew the car is fine, and our 6yr old Tiguan had "passed" with no comment a couple of months ago.

I was a bit gobsmacked when the service advisor came out and said they couldn't put All In on the car as it had a list of faults.

I think the list looks worse than it is as each item (apart from one) has several lines. Two of them were bass (door) speakers not working - I've checked and they're not, but yet the radio sounds fine. Daughter hadn't noticed a problem with them so who knows how long they've not worked for?

The others all seemed related to keys and locking - one just says "key with remote control", another says "key voltage too low" (battery is very new but they're always iffy) and the third says "Front passenger door locking unit" - yet the car locks and unlocks from the passenger door fine using both touch and the remote buttons.

Dealer is adamant that none of these faults were present when the car had its major service 2 mths ago (and would have been still in the 3yr warranty) - I don't want to push that point because at the moment, in view of the forgotten warranty issue, they've agreed to diagnose free and "discuss" the cost of anything that needs replacement.

As daughter is a teacher it's a right pain getting the car to the dealer (who are some distance away) other than in holidays, which was why it's had to wait a couple of months to go in this week (half-term). Of course the dealer was too busy the rest of this week to keep the car, plus they didn't have a courtesy car.

Just thought I should update my post and say it all seems to be sorted now - dealer did all the work FOC but the back and forth to the dealership multiple times was a right faff.

The dealership as a whole messed up by not putting the 5yr warranty on the car, and apparently knew about this but just kept the money.

Service messed up by flagging up the front arms as needing replacement, and putting them down as an MOT advisory. I had the owner and a technician at a well regarded VAG specialist look at them and they were astonished they'd been mentioned at all. Service obviously either didn't do, or failed to mention, a fault scan when the car was serviced so the other faults (which weren't obvious) prevented the All In package being applied.

I'm also dismayed that on the day the dealer had the car back (so still with all its faults) they managed to somehow apply the All In package at that point - dismayed because the next week it was 25% off! I did ask SEAT if they'd reprice it - of course, no hint of "surprise and delight" customer service from SEAT UK, they just refused.

All in (no pun intended) all, pretty terrible.

Damn, does sound like it was a real trash experience :/ I guess at least you did get the All in added though and FOC which was the main thing. Worth keeping this in mind for others that go for this too.

What dealer did you go to? Just so I know to maybe consider another haha

Had to pay full price for All In - got the 4th&5th yr warranty fee back and cancelled the EMAC dealer service agreement so I suppose we've come out ahead. I was dismayed SEAT wouldn't let us have All In at the Black Friday price as it was applied to the car a week before the offer - would have saved daughter nearly £200 over a couple of years.

Dealer is SEAT Wrexham - part of Stoneacre.

The most annoying part of the whole thing is the dealer putting an advisory on the MOT at 3yrs.30K miles for the front arm bushes - I know people say depends on use etc etc, but the car does a main road commute and really, there was nothing wrong with them, but it's now on the MOT record for ever. However if they hadn't done that we may never have found out they hadn't put the extended warranty in place.
