Seat UK would have specified the First Edition builds so they aren't effectively bought to order, like you bought the tin of bake beans Heinz were already making, it wasn't in the shops yet. That's why they talk about we have so many left etc. I suspect a lot of the PCP cars are like that. That's why a dealer up north told me they are only given the cars they think we can sell for the forecourt.Magpie86 said:Nah the mondeo gave up the ghost! Got a little bit back for it. Now making the best of it with one of my parents cars (which was the original plan anyway as they no longer need two cars, but they got cold feet!). I am just curious why first editions have different build dates when it's same spec, I can a only presume it's if the dealerships ordered them on the chance they could shift one, or that 24 hours difference between me ordering one and everyone else did me in! There was only 6 orange left on the screen when I placed my order. So a fair few had been sold/ordered..
Not too sure whether Seat dealers have access to that. Mine hadn't moved to product codes and the quilt pen wasn't far away. This is where I'm worried about whether his free text rather than product code isn't going to end up with a car I didn't order and the price to match after waiting months. The only tally is the price list and my bottom line figure. I will check of each item before accepting the car at delivery.Ghiggz said:As I'm going thru my employers lease company and not direct thru a dealer, I am unlikely to get a build date in advance.
When we had our current car the online order info screen just updates as and when, one day to 'vehicle built', then updated to 'delivered to dealer', etc..
Neovo, are you UK based. I'll slap my wrist since the question should have said UK orders since one is trying to determine what is happening to orders placed in the UK. See if I can now edit the question, done. If it is your vote can be countedNeovo said:I've ordered the Xcellence 1.4 DSG 150PK with pana roof.
