Thanks for all the kind remarks! The ride on the 19's is much more comfortable than the Leon was and I had 18's on that and tbh it feels as soft as our Ibiza which is only on 16's.

It is just the tyre puncture repair kit under the boot, going to order the spare wheel from the dealer as they said that wouldnt be a problem, I was just showing the double boot floor off in that pic.

Struggling a bit to get the foot wiggle boot opening to work properly, but havent had much of a play tonight cos we picked it up late and I'm working all night. Start button and electric handbrake taking some getting used to

I've noticed it is a bit slower off the mark than the Leon was, which I didn't notice on the demonstrator, wandering if that is due to the engine not being broken in yet? Overall still very happy with it though! :)

Looking good! Those 19s are fantastic, if I were getting an excellence I'd definitely get them.

I still can't get my head around that top camera view tho.... looks so weird!

You already have the plastic bolt / screw in place for the spare tyre - I had to buy that seperate! :(

Tyre inflation kit on mine came in a thinner polystyrene holder that took up the length of the spare wheel void.

The wheels are nice, but I think I'm going to be a bit paranoid about not kerbing them, managed not to on the Leon so we will see...

Yeah, I don't like the camera in that view, that was just me turning it on to demonstrate it, when I was actually reversing onto the drive it displayed verticaly, which was better and made parking a doddle ;)

I never even noticed that, but I guess you are right, perhaps they have changed it in the later builds.

Thanks Jonny and LofTheM!

Took her out for a long run on Saturday and took this one to show off the tailights...

Having spent a bit more time with the car over the weekend I must say I absolutely Love it! :D

It's a real head turner, the exterior paint has so much depth and it gleams in the sun, much more than I was expecting it to, and the wheels look stunning.

I am also blown away by the interior build quality, despite the similarity to our previous Leon it just seems to have a more premium feel, and I love the panoramic effect the black roof lining gives, my previous concerns about it being too dark have been nullified.

I'm slowly getting used to the start stop button and the electric handbrake, my wife mastered them within minutes  but the handbrake in particular gets me muddled at times. I need to rtfm!

Have already put 100 miles on the clock, but have been driving mostly in eco mode, and I am noticing a decrease in throttle response compared with the Leon Fr, but nothing I am dissatisfied with.

I can't believe how quiet the car is at speed, you can barely hear the engine over the slight wind noise and there is very little road noise from teh tyres. The ride on the 19's is superb, much comfier than I was expecting after hearing negative comments on the forum, I think some people must be used to driving around on bouncy castles!

Had a play with Park assist earlier and that worked perfectly first time, There was a transit driver looking on in amazement as the wheel spun on its own and steered the car perfectly into a parallel spot. The top down camera is amazing for seeing the kerbs and parking lines as well, very pleased we picked it now!

Going to get out the silver bumper trim bits tomorrow and see how they look along the side before deciding to fit them or not, the dealer said it won't affect the warranty as long as the car is not damaged in the process.

Those of you still waiting for your cars will not be dissapointed! :)

Good write up thanks. I was getting worried about having the 19" wheels but you have put my mind at rest thank you. Can we have a photo of the bumper trims please.

Which trims do you mean? If its the silver side trims, I havent put them on yet as I'm not sure if I've got the right adhesive primers.

Took our Ateca out this evening for a sunset drive to the beautiful beach used to film Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows... :)
