Went out on the school run this morning, now awaiting road side assistance as the vehicle (2.0 TDI See xcellence) will not start, when the button is pressed all you get is a buzzing sound, windows will not go down but the radio and lights are all working,Strange, hope it's just a fuse or something simple.

Yes, let us know.
Wondering if this has any connection to the overpowering road noise you've had.

At the moment the car is being taken to the dealership on a trailor , an update will follow, the Road Side Assistance guy was brilliant as he tried his utmost to find the fault, the vehicles ignition system wouldn't fire up the engine , this hindered the Assitance guy re attaching his computer into the cars info systems, so just waiting on a replacement vehicle to be delivered, had nothing to do the Road Side Assistance guy arranged everything.

Had my Altea once completely dead to starting, battery good. Six hours latter still the same. Day after it started. The garage never found anything wrong with it. It was a Sunday so decided to leave it for shipping to the garage for the day after. Decided it was dampness or the immobiliser decided it would immobilise it for reasons it knew.

The car has been fixed and returns home tomorrow, a plug in unit parted company with its cabling somewhere behind the steering column and it seems from listening to the tech guys a clip has been snapped off, allegedly could have happened on the assembly line.

Well at least they got to the bottom of it quickly and fixed it. Could have been much worse :D
