Can anyone with 17” wheels post their sticker with recommended pressures? 225/55/17 i.e. 4Drive is preferable but I guess it’s the same for FWD.

Mine will come soon with the stock 18” and 225/50/18 but I’ve bought 17” wheels for the winter and the mentioned tires and wondering if it is the same pressure regardless of size or it is lower?

I’ve seen on the first page that for one and same 1.4 TSI FWD Ateca a member with 19” wheels has posted a recommended pressure of 2.7 bar whereas the same car with 18” wheels has 2.5 bar for another member so probably it should be yet another 0.2 bar less for 17” wheels for a pressure of 2.3 bar. Or am I wrong? I also see that another member with a 4Drive 2.0 TDI and 19” wheels has his front tires recommended at 2.9 bar whereas his rear tires are again 2.7 bar.

This is all confusing so wondering if it’s safe to just see my own sticker when the car arrives and subtract 0.2 bar for the 17” wheels.

Just had the tyre pressure warning light come on so went to check my tyre pressures, the sticker on my car is for 18" tyres does anyone know what the correct pressures should be for 215/60R16 tyres?

No, it should be correct for the tyres fitted. Why would they quote the pressure for entirely different tyres?

We had some discussion about this issue on another thread:

viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1792&start=20#p25451

If you read that message and the rest of the thread, you'll see that it's not that straightforward after all...
