Replacement Alloy

Post by Danny03121990 » Sat Aug 04, 2018 11:15 pm

This is my first post on the forum so Hi everyone :D

I have an 2017 Ateca Xcellence with the 1.4Tsi 2WD. It’s a great car and everything has been working perfectly. However, last week, my car Lost a fight with a very large pot hole. I’ve taken it to a tyre specialist that has said it can’t be repaired as it has buckled and requires a new alloy. Anyway! I gave SEAT a call and they advised it would cost me £464 inc VAT for one replacement and the SEAT parts website online can supply it for just £20 less (although the upgraded alloys are only £210 each :S).

Anyway, does anyone have any idea where I can get a replacement genuine wheel either cheaper or second hand? I’ve had no luck on eBay or anywhere else. If not, I guess I’ll have to bite the bullet and get it done along with the two tyres I need replacing! It is the 18” Performance Wheel with the 10 double spoke design here (

Thank you everyone!

Good luck sourcing a cheaper wheel, it will be interesting to hear if you’re successful...

What was the outcome when you approached the council who own the road with the pothole?
Some years ago I had a similar incident, and I claimed the expense of a new wheel/tyre combo back from them!

Also, do ensure you didn’t receive any suspension or bodywork damage either 🤓

For that price you are probably better off stumping up a bit more and just getting a new set of third party wheels...
