Hi from NZ

Post by NZ_Cupra » Sat Jul 20, 2019 12:00 pm

Hi there, am new to the site after picking up this beauty last week:

I'm coming from a 2017 VW Tiguan 220PS R Line, and while that is a great car it just didn't have the power and handling I was looking for after coming from a MK6 Golf R. The CUPRA Ateca has the power and the ride quality along with the space I need. SEAT isn't that big over here in New Zealand, they have only had a dealership here for about 18 months, and with the CUPRA being so new this is the first batch of them over here but I love the uniqueness.

Was big into the forum scene with the Tiguan, especially with coding (did a lot of work with getting TSR, HBA working and other customisations) so looking forward to seeing what is capable with the Ateca. Have already turned off Stop/Start and enabled Mirror Dip as well so will start tinkering when i have time to see what else can be done.

Nice. I've had my LE for a month now. I traded a Leon Cupra 300, the first one sold in NZ. I bought it the day after the press release.
Did you deal with Dane at SEAT/Cupra? He's a good guy, so's Daniel in service. Actually the whole team is great.
There is a Cupra owners group on FB that's reasonably active. One guy has done few performance mods on his. It's running around 380 hp.
He apparently gave it a run down in the McKenzie country, saw 281 on the clock!
