External links

Hi,
Not sure if it's been mentioned before but external links - personally i think you'd be better off having them open in a new tab for people.
Main reason being, from your perspective it keeps people on the forums whilst just checking out an article or video someone has linked instead of taking them away completely.

Also personally i usually click something but also see another topic i want to read so i have to navigate back afterwards.

Just my 2 cents :)

For some reason it’s how phpbb is designed and no option to change it.

I have considered editing the scripts to make it happen. Might look into that again.

I'm so used to the links opening in the same tab, that I always press the 'ctrl' button down before clicking any link. That makes them open in a new tab.

Or middle click with your mouse (the scroll wheel) - by default that opens in new tab 8-)

If i use a mouse i usually use the scroll middle click but a lot of the time i tend to just use a pad so tend to just click.. Each to their own though!
