Hi all. Been following the forum for a couple of months now since ordering my Ateca. Maybe I should have checked out the site before ordering but that would have been too easy. Lots of good info on here. Was a VW customer for a long while but my son test drove an ateca and I was impressed.

Read about the horror stories re the 1.5 engine and have to admit to be very nervous and almost cancelled. But got to say I am impressed and a week in everything is good. Oh I know people like to know the spec so it's a se technology tsi 1.5 DSG in Nevada white.

That's about all I can think of for now.

Cheers.

Mpg isn't too bad for a new engine. Managed 45 mpg mixed motorway and a road so hopefully you'll do better with that sort if distance.

Mine's a 190 TSI so MPG expectations are low!

Mine is a 300bhp Cupra, so expectations are even lower :o , but on country roads with mixed driving, I can get up to 38mpg, so not that bad. It is fun sometimes to put my foot down and watch consumption drop to 10mpg. :D

Think I might be under powered compared to you two. But it still shifts down the road ok so not too bad. My son picked up his FR last week as well. It's got a few more toys which I must admit I could have done with.

Missing the auto lights and windscreen wipers a bit. But I can live with that given the extra space and driving position over the golf.
:D

Really liked the look of the cupra and the sales manager had one in white hence we got the Nevada white. Unfortunately rhe cupra was well out if my price range.
