I ordered a few days ago and was warned about the delauy due to new emissions testing. Told to expect delivery October time. I'm lucky though I don't need the car over the summer so waiting suits me at present.

Here in The Netherlands I placed an order on the 5th of june and was told manufacturing would start again in october and delivery in mid november at best. (FR 1.5 DSG)

Pretty sad about it, but nothing I can do.

In the UK we can only place orders for the 1.4 eco TSI not the new 1.5 but I am quite happy with that as it is a proven engine
Ateca FR 1.5, Velvet Red, Panoramic Sun Roof, Heated Windscreen, Digital Cockpit
Ordered WK17
Confirmed WK19
Build WK38

On my orderconfirmation is says 1.4 TSI, but the dealer told me it will be the new 1.5 TSI which is already been used by Audi and the VW T-Roc.
It has the same power output, so it doesn't really matter to me.

I take it the fuel consumption is lower on the 1.5 compared to the 1.4? It can be by much though. Anyone known if there will be a refresh between now and then? I noticed the arona uses a more vw like infotainment system than the ateca would seem logical to me that they could add that to the ateca at some point.

After scouring Skoda forums and SEAT Spanish forums I am also expecting that although I ordered a 1.4TSI I will most likely receive a 1.5tsi. Unless of course, that it is deemed the Teca gets the last ones available. I'm happy either way given the 1.4 is proven and the 1.5 is in the Karoq and now some VWs and other VAG cars.
31/03/2018 Ordered: Wrong Spec on delivery, cancelled.
6th June 2018 : Ordered 1.4TSI Xcellence in Reflex Silver. ACC, double boot floor, space saver & heated screen. 22 week wait...roll on November!

Hi. I placed my order during the first week of May this year (UK). I’ve just queried the delays re WLTP with my dealership and they have written saying that my car is built and currently on route to the port. I should have it within 4 weeks. So the 12 week prediction should be about right?

I ordered A 2L petrol (190) DSG auto

That may be an issue for me as one of reasons I got the FR version was to get the sporty 1.4 engine and trim rather than the SE Tech.
The1.5s engine is available in two states of tune, a 128bhp BlueMotion that returned 58.9mpg on the EU Combined cycle and can get from 0-62mph in 9.1 seconds. The more powerful 148bhp version, which is currently on the Golf GT and R-Line Edition produces its maximum power between 5,000-6,000rpm, while peak torque stands at 184lb ft between 1,500-3,500rpm. This version will produce the sub-8.5 second 0-60mph time that the 148 bhp 1.4 engine currently used in the FR supplies. So if they swop will have to make sure it is the 148 that they fit.

And reading reviews of other VW group 1.5 fitted types I think I will prefer the 1.4

I also ordered a 1.4. I read on another forum that orders for the 1.5 Ateca will open in late 2018.

I assume the 1.5 is the same engine that's in the VW T-Roc. I have been reading a thread over on the the T-Roc forums about the 1.5 kangaroo issue some owners (11 people in that thread) have experienced, someone also said that it's been noticed on the 1.5 Skoda Karoq too. It's also on the honestjohn website (about the 1.5 T-Roc) and it mentions there have been reports that the 1.5 Golf and Ibiza have same problem.
Ordered: Ateca FR 1.4
| Rhodium Grey | 19" wheels | SEAT Sound | Spare wheel | Top view camera | Park assist | Heated screen | Advanced driving assistance pack |

I got told mine had left the factory in Spain last week and was now in a German port? Dealer is hoping I’ll have it by the end of the month.
Collecting my car on wednesday so roughly 3 weeks to get from the factory to Edinburgh.
