Hiya - just updated my phone to iOS 12 and I still can’t seem to use Waze it Apple Maps with my infotainment system.

anyone tried this site? looks a simple instal...to me 13 euros yearly is a good deal.
Waze is free, has real time alerts for mobile camera and police and integrates with the Infotainment using Android Auto or CarPlay, why would you want to rely on anything else?

Although iOS 12 supports some third party apps in Car Play, Google and Waze have not yet released versions that work with Car Play.

Google Maps Version 5 was just released today and lists CarPlay integration in it's new features. I haven't updated to iOS12 yet though, to confirm... :-P

Even if you don't want to use Waze for sat nav, just have the app running in the background and it'll send an alert over the top of Apple Maps notifying you of speed cameras.

Why would anyone want to use Apple maps if they had a choice? Many years after release Apple Maps is still truly awful.

You need a second card, but only to load the cameras onto the media unit. You can remove it from the unit when loading has completed. Camera info is not added to the original card.
I download camera data from www.pocketgpsworld.com, which is pretty comprehensive and frequently updated. You have to subscribe to get the data.

The procedure from download to display on the satnav is fairly complex the first time you do it, but it gets easier with practice. I have the end-to-end procedure written down. PM me if you want a copy.
Hiya. Could you please send me the procedure for downloading speed cameras onto my sat nav 6PO seat ateca. Thanking you in anticipation.
