I really wish this was an option at all trim levels. Occasional bags of garden rubbish leave nasty marks on the roof when lifting into the boot.

SE has lovely grey trim panels but annoyingly reflective (read blinding) chrome trim around gear lever etc.
1.0 SE rolling on 18s

Everyone has their own personal taste but I do like the piano black inserts.
I would rather upgrade the wheels to 20", maybe like these

And as for the “cheap plastic look”, I assume that they have not seen them, since thy look, at least the Ateca ones and not from Leon, like a mat aluminum finish.
They look quite nice to me. So it's just "piano lacquered plastic" exchanged to "brushed aluminium plastic". Probably not loosing any "premium feeling" at all. :)

I might have opted for those. I chose Style (as the middle level trim is called here) over the Xcellence, just to get the white roof lining instead of the dull grey one on the Xcellence. But with these "aluminium look" trim bits, I might have been able to cope with the grey roof.
Jungle Green 1.4 TSI 4Drive DSG Style + quite a lot of extras. Delivered in less than 8 months.

I’m also getting a white one ,tomorrow. I like the look of the silver trim that you had done. I got the FR so mine isn’t all piano black with black leather. It’s a bit dark in there, glad I got the glass roof.

I sat and noticed that my interior trim from factory is same colour as the car - Rodium Grey. Doors and dash trim. Anybody else with grey cars can confirm theirs are grey? The centre console is black though.
What colour do othes have? Let us know interior colour and external paint name.
That's standard finish for Style models.
Excellence have piano black with black seats and with brown seats some kind of glitter coke brown.

Cheaper way of DIY.

Just a small tip, if you are bored with the piano black, just get them wrapped. Bet it's a bit cheaper than new panels.

What anyone else thinks of your car is actually none of your concern and I hope you thoroughly enjoy your mods...
If everyone held the same opinion regarding styling, we’d all be driving drearily identical cars.
Shiny or dull, gloss or matt, bright-work or not, it’s all personal opinion.
I do agree though that Seat has got it’s accessories pricing policy out of kilter with other manufactures!
