Tet70, Thanks for the info I am now in possession of the VCDS code for activating TSR and I have what looks like a camera aperture on the rear of the rear view mirror (see picture). But before I start can you or anybody tell me if this is a camera or a blank as it does not appear to be made of glass like a normal lenses. Thanking you in advance.

That is not the camera. Look through the windsreen from the outside, it is higher up than the rear view mirror and obvious if you have it.

Has anybody here had any experience of using VCDS on Obdeleven to enable TSR on a MY19 car?
You only get it on the DSG models. For some reason they say it is not compatible with rear cross traffic alert on manuals.

If the car has Lane Assist or Traffic Sign Recognition, but not both, I think the other one can be activated with proper procedure. After all, they are both just software which uses the same camera. But if the car doesn't have either one, I'm quite sure the activation will not work, because the camera is not there. Surely they don't install very expensive camera to the car, which does not use it. The High Beam Assist also uses that camera, but according to the options list in your message, that comes with Lane Assist, it's not a standalone option.

I have just received my Xcellence Lux and can confirm it does not have traffic sign recognition.
