Paint peeling on driver mode switch - potential buy

Post by DMB1 » Sun Mar 15, 2020 11:40 am

Hi

I’m considering purchasing a 1.6 2017 ateca (black magic) se tech.

Car is in great condition apart from the paint has started to peel from the centre console where the driving mode selector is. (Picture attached).

Does anyone know of seat sell the chrome ring seperate?

Also how difficult is it to install the reversing camera - the dealer can install for £350.

Regards

Mark

No unfortunately it will be part of the center console trim as a whole.

Cheers - don’t know if it’s enough to put me off. On eBay for £70 too.

Can I also ask, are the number plate bulbs led?

Yes they are, I believe VAG 3AF 943 021 A is the part number of them.

Looks like someone's thumbnail has been scratching it! you can get chrome pens that may hide the majority of it but you'll always know it's there.

£350 is a good price for the camera install. They're about £400 to buy alone!

Spoke to my local Seat Dealer - they stock the item required.

Around a £10 inc vat.
