The 2.0 TSI engine produces 320 Nm of torque. The 1.5 produces 250 Nm of torque. If you go for the 2.0 it will have 4-Drive (SEAT's version of 4-Motion which is exactly the same). Go for it.

I've tried both and they're great. However, the 2.0 box isn't that much quicker unless you regularly haul heavy loads or do motorway miles or need the 4x4 drivetrain. Plus the fuel consumption takes a hit.

Worth test driving both so you're happy, the 1.4 has plenty of low down shove around town.

You wont notice any major differences in a regular daily driving- they are both smooth and do what they are supposed to do - change gears.

The 2ltr has a lot more Torque, a lot of hills around my area, does that counter the extra mpg?

Sorry, if you do 10000ml per year, the diff is approx 62gallons, (45mpg v 35mpg), which make a diff of £350

Yep, at £1.20/l that’s what I calculate too. Though I’d never average 35mpg in the 2.0l! I had that engine in my A4 (ok, Torsen diff so heavier and less efficient that Haldex systems) and got around 28mpg over a 37 mile daily commute, mostly dual carriageway work.

4 Drive has multi-link suspension rather than torsion beam. This added to the 4 wheel drive enhances cornering and handling.

Yeah.... when I did the math, I factored in better ride quality, handling, acceleration and pug bragging rights! Worth every penny of the extra £30 a month in petrol! ;)
