RR Evoque 2.2 diesel. Nice car but tech not as good as the Ateca in terms of infotainment system, satnav, electronic brake operation and the RR has an annoying position for the dash panel boot release which I always caught with my knee getting into the car xausing me to have to get out and shut the lid. Also connection of music flash drives to the USB sockets could be temperamental in that sometimes they weren't even recognised. No such issues with the Ateca.
Re: Your previous car before Ateca
My previous car is a Toyota Etios Liva, a great car, but I gave it to my wife and bought myself an Ateca, about a year ago. Now everyone is happy and 2 cars in the family

2008 Ford Fiesta with diesel engine. Great little car which served me well but I ragged it for 60k miles in about 3 and a half years and it was in need of replacing. Before that a Focus. I looked at the Kuga and Ecosport before buying the Ateca but Ford are a million miles away from Seat's infotainment offering these days and the Seat is way more fun to drive!

Skoda Octavia VRs 2.0 CR tdi Estate, really miss the space and performance.
1.0 TSI SE Tech Nevada White, Protection pack, Thule 969 wing bars and Thule 591 cycle racks.
Re: Your previous car before Ateca
So why did you buy an Ateca with the least powerful petrol engine?
1.4TSI DSG Xcellence delivered 2/3/17 after 6 months wait. Brilliant Silver. 18" machined alloys. Park Assist. 360º cameras. Power boot. All driver assists. Alcantara. SEAT sound.
Re: Your previous car before Ateca
Had issues with VRs mainly due to lots of short journeys commuting etc, including replacing costly EGR valve. Decided on a petrol, wanted a SUV and was very impressed with Ateca. Quoted 5-7month wait for a 1.4 or 3-4 weeks for 1.0, quite impressed on test drive and went for it. Will consider a 1.4 next time round, our other car is a Kadjar which has more space, a bigger boot which we use at weekends and holidays.

Re: Your previous car before Ateca
Before my Ateca I had a Leon Estate DSG and it was great. But, with the kids i needed something bigger as my parents live in Derby so we have a long drive once a month or so.
Saved £5,800 on my Ateca Xcellence by buying a pre-reg which I think means it's nearly new, and only has delivery mileage on. There's lots at the SEAT cardiff garage, i think this is them: https://search.whitedovegroup.co.uk/#/? ... 2%5D%7D%5D

Re: Your previous car before Ateca
That is exact what a pre-reg is. The car is registered and taxed already and provides big savings for people as you get a large chunk off ROTR. Pre-registered cars get a bad press as the dealership is labelled as the first owner and therefore yourself will be the second owner of the car at 100miles.jchick2018 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 18, 2018 4:45 pmBefore my Ateca I had a Leon Estate DSG and it was great. That being said, the only reason that people could be worried about that is if your preferred payment is a cash buy as you will be responsible for the selling of the car if you do indeed decide to sell the car in the first place. On finance, this shouldn't make a difference as most plan to hand the car back after the finance term is up.
Also needs to be said that pre-registered cars are classified as used cars, so they don't qualify for new car offers (like the 0% offer in Q4). The reason for the registration is that dealerships are given targets to register so many cars per month, normally a dealership will meet this target just by retail/motability customers alone, however some don't. This therefore means that they have to register these cars to the dealership to meet the target set by the manufacturer. The price is counted as 'low' because it obviously costs the dealership money to keep the car there, being registered and taxed, without anything going towards the car, same with all used cars, but they aren't taxed.
Looking at that link you shared with White Dove, I'm a bit surprised that they have so many pre-registered cars and that they are all Atecas. Also definitely needs to be said that the cars registered have normally been stock for a long time, again, looking at the link it looks like all the cars are MY18 instead of new MY19 stock.
