That's both intriguing and concerning. Given that your car (and mine) and both from 2017, how many miles have you managed to clock up to wear out a pair of discs in such a short period? Many main dealers will start pressuring for new ones somewhere around 40,000 miles (my previous Audi A3). In fact, at every annual service I was told my discs would need changing in 10,000 miles. That happened about 5 times  . I never did change them in the end and they were perfectly good up until I got rid of it with mileage around 95,000. Add to that, I still had the same pads with plenty to spare.

That's around 33,000 miles. I have my car on a 4 year PCP deal and I do 10,000 miles a year. There's no way I'm agreeing to change my discs before it goes back. Like I said earlier, main dealers push to have the work done but I would question whether it's necessary at such a low mileage or get a second opinion before wasting your money. That's just the way I would approach it.

i changed my front discs at around 32000 km and i asked at seat dealers and one vw dealer they say its no warranty job
you proberly drove the discs hot and then in a puddle
so i changed my discs my self and bought bosch to the front axle
i have a boat and a trailer not a big boat just 460 long that i tow a maybe 10-15 time in a year that proberly wear the discs down a bit
but still not ok i had subaru and volvos and saab that have 4 times the milage and better looking discs and the warrenty covers discs for them
but everyt thing else is really nice about the car

That must be an annoying additional expense. Very unusual. Good luck with the fix.

Thanks Morgan. Where are you located? I will get up there one day even if it isn't this year. Looks beautiful. And I curse the rain! I also ride motorcycles and it rains too often here in Germany.
