Parking damage

Post by Nikkijamie » Thu Aug 09, 2018 8:13 am

Nothing better than washing your car and finding that someone has hit the front of the car at some time and cracked the black grill where the number plate sits and distorted the number slightly.
Makes you angry that people don’t care about other peoples cars and just drive off. Not even sure when it’s was done as haven’t washed it for 3 weeks and it’s the wife’s daily driver not mine.
Got to try to see how much new part is now

I feel your pain, mines only noticeable close up but why should we suffer due to morons. Probably won’t get mine fixed until I’m trading it in

Now when I find anybody near it I’m there like a flash it’s when people say I didn’t see it I wonder if they should be driving !!

If you like me. I always try to park in wider bays or out of the way of the crowd to try to avoid such things

ugh, that sucks so bad.
Some how I made it as far as 4 years without any parking/scuffing damage with my current car. I really hope I will have that with the Ateca aswell, but fear for it as it's a bit bigger.

And yeah, respect for another persons suff is long gone.

I’m feeling your pain too, although mercifully i’m yet to suffer damage to my Ateca!

Unfortunately, I have to park at Heathrow everyday for work 😱
My choice of spaces is therefore severely restricted to; narrow ones, frequented by uncaring neighbourly gits who seemingly all drive similarly uncared for cars bought specifically to commute to work in.

Does anyone have experience of the following contraption, or perhaps you have your own anti-scratch/dent defence equipment you employ in precarious parking situations;

2.0 TDI 190HP DSG 4Drive; Xcellance in White with full leather, 19" wheels, SEAT Sound + other bits-n-bobs...
