Button for Driver Assistance System Faulty Warning

Post by timblewee » Wed Dec 04, 2019 6:11 pm

I was driving home from work this evening and I got a strange message on the dash. A yellow warning icon of a car inside a broken circle and the message, "Button for Driver Assistance Systems Faulty". The message would flicker on the screen and then disappear only to reappear a few seconds later. It eventually went off and didn't come back on. Something else happened earlier in the week which I didn't think much of at the time, when I tried to close the window, it wound itself down instead of going up and would not go up until it had gone all the way down. Does anyone know what this could be before I go back to the dealer and they try fobbing me off? I took delivery of the car in the beginning of October and it has done about !700 miles.

The window isn't a problem if it's ok now. It just needed to recalibrate itself.

If the warning doesn't come back for a week or three it's probably ok too. See how it goes. The car has a KAM to remember stored faults, so will be accessible...
