I think there is no way to do that, EU regulation requires DRLs to be on. Which is more relaxed requirement than we used to have here in Finland. Before EU DRL regulation, we were required to keep the headlights on all the time, even on daylight.
The light knob might have different functions in different countries, based on the local regulations. At least in Finnish Atecas, there is one position on the knob where only sidelights are on. But here it's illegal to use that option while driving. Either DRLs or normal headlights must be on, when the car is moving.
