How do I activate this

My Ateca previously displayed the 'Lower mirror when reversing' function on the dash display, but it was 'unavailable'. The same function has since disappeared and is no longer shown on the 'Mirrors and Wipers' setting.
Why might this be and how can I get it back?

It was.
However, the function 'lower mirror when reversing' option no longer appears in the settings display.
So can't select it.
I need to manually close the mirrors to park the car in a garage. Could this action cause the 'mirror tilt when reversing' function to disappear from the settings?

Seems a bit random on VW Group cars whether this is fitted or not - our Ateca doesn't do it, and neither does wife's 2022 Karoq SEL. Yet her old mk1 Tiguan Match did it.

There were a number of issues with it when it was first introduced. It tended not to return the mirror correctly. It was discontinued on some models. I personally can't see the point of it when a reversing camera is fitted to most models.

My '23 Cupra VZ2 does it, they got almost all of the Seat options ticked as standard. I'm guessing a 2019 Ateca didn't get the 'all glass' head unit that the later cars received. Probably worth trying a full reset/reboot of the head unit. On mine it's just a case of holding the power button down for 20 seconds.
