I’ve driven 3 hours and had no issue before now. Tonight done an 8 mile journey and had it all the way home rebooting.

If you don't mind me asking, what do they mean by goodwill. My 5 week old Ateca is going in again on Monday.

Finance company gave me £900 back and cupra gave me £250 Amazon vouchers

Cupra have come back to me with a another update short of replacing the control unit. I turned it on them this time and said after all this time and issues why should I have the update and why shouldn’t I just carry on with my rejection position.

This issue has been happening to me with my 23 plate seat ibiza Xcellence. I ignored it until today when I ended up almost crashing as I was lost trying to turn satnav back on as it rebooted constantly. I called Johnson Seat who said that Seat have owned up to the issue and needs to be booked in for the software update, I've booked for Wednesday but not feeling hopeful after reading this thread. My car is leased. Should I escalate this with the finance company as Seat told me not to use the car satnav and to use my phone which renders the cars technology useless.

September 13th is the earliest they can see us. A number of posts I've read have recommended a reboot holding the power button down but the power button isn't physical on this display, so not sure how that would work!

It still forces a reboot, physical or not.

I may be guessing here but when it does stay on for longer than ten seconds as soon as it shows the world symbol top right as if connected to Seat it will instantly go off.
Other times you’ll get the seat logo with the radio and then it will reboot.

Have you tried setting privacy to Max Privacy? That will stop it connecting.

Had my Ateca done today, new version is 0841 does anyone have any feedback on any of the many issues seen with firmware 0836 and below?
Too early to deduce any fixes yet.

Mine still regularly rebooting after updates so finally handed back to the dealership after lots of complaints. Only 6 weeks old. Got my money back today.
Time for something different. Its ridiculous that you can't buy a new Ateca without assurances that it will be OK.

I bought a Ibiza Xcelence Lux in July last year and a Ateca Xperience Lux in August last year, both were delivered with the firmware fault. Thats 14 & 12 months waiting for a hopefull fix.
In my buisness I couldnt get away with those timescales.

Anyone found a fix yet for missng station logos on DAB. My car came back with 0841 firmware and updated Radio databse from 1.3.33 to 1.30.36 yesterday and the logos are still missing. As you may know you cant import them unlike previous infotainment.
Its only stations operated by Global.com Captial radio, Heart, Smooth, Classic FM, Radio X, Gold, LBC. Global say they push radio logos so its not them.
Any feedback here, do others have my missing logos on DAB?

My Global.com logos are missing as well - updates (to 0841 and 1.30.36) have made no difference, always been missing from day 1 (Mar 22).

As it happens, my Ateca did this today for the first time (although I did only get the car on Saturday ) I popped into the supplying dealer and the service manager showed me how to do a "4F reset": 1. Press and keep pressing the touch power button until you have seen the date and time appear TWICE 2. Keep pressing until you see the SEAT logo 3. Release the power button The system was then stable for the remainder of my journey home. Apparently "4F" refers to the type of infotainment system fitted. I hope this helps.

I tried this on my 2 month old Ateca Fr Sport, I had got to the point of seriously off loading the vehicle, very frustrated & thanks to you your tip worked (finger still crossed) I have not had a repeat, so again thank you

Two months ago my SEAT Ateca in Spain was updated to 0841. Our dealer in Denia told us all of his customers were very happy with the latest update. I couldn’t believe it but for two months no problem with rebooting! But…yesterday again after two months the whole issue started again. Strange but it started with an issue with the automatic light switch. the weather was very clear but the screen was in dark mode. When I turned the light off the system asked me to turn it on because it should be too dark…. seconds later the whole screen went black and I almost exploded. Fortunately pressing the on-button for at least 20 seconds until the SEAT logo can be seen seems to work, but who knows for how long.
Another issue I discovered: I had problems with Apple Music playing in CarPlay mode. On my I phone I found out that my settings were at maximum quality of music. Apparently that is too much of data for the Ateca. Now I turned back to a lower quality and Apple Music works fine (when not rebooting…)
Well no good news so far. For the fifth time I will have to pay a visit to the very friendly but not able to help people of SEAT in Denia.

Hi Kriegerhans58

It's interesting that your infotainment system went black when you used the light switch. I've had my system turn off twice in the past three days - once at the exact moment I used the window switch to lower the driver's window and the second time the exact moment I activated the indicators. Previously when the system has switched itself off, I have noted that using an electrical function seems to coincide with this behaviour.

Has anyone else noticed this?

In the description there of upgrade is infrmation that it concerns rebooting system. I downloaded it, but it is too early to say anything. I'm wondering if it will solve the issue...

Yes, that's the update I received the other day, and the system crashed for the first time in weeks the very next day! 🙄

I don't think we will ever get an update saying "this fixes the random reboots issue", as that would be admitting to the problem.
